A “FRESH TRACK” TO ADDRESS PROBLEM GAMBLING Posted 3 Nov 2008 IN: The Responsible Gambling Council of Ontario and Fresh Tracks Media Toronto, November 3, 2008 – Fresh Tracks Media, Canada’s leader in Pizza Box Advertising, has teamed up with FUEL Advertising Inc. on a creative campaign to promote the Responsible Gambling Council’s friends4friends.ca, an interactive website that provides young adults with strategies to recognize a gambling problem and offers information and resources to help their friends. Launching on Monday, November 3, 2008, the campaign will deliver the friends4friends message to over 600,000 young Ontarians via unique creative on large pizza boxes distributed by independent pizzerias. The boxes feature an eye-catching four-colour visual of a young male seated beside a greyed-out friend with the text “Problem Gambling Can Void a Friendship” and a link to friends4friends.ca. The campaign is part of a broad media strategy underway to promote the website which includes on-campus posters, 30-second TV, washroom ads, online banner ads, and youth-oriented publications. The friends4friends campaign is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion. “We are thrilled to be working with FUEL to drive home the message in such a unique environment,” says Yasaman Yeganegi, Account Director, Fresh Tracks Media. “Through the Pizza Box Advertising creative, young adults are encouraged to take action to help friends who may be engaged in risky behaviours by enlisting the valuable support provided through friends4friends.ca.” The friends4friends.ca campaign marks Fresh Tracks Media’s first with the non-profit sector, following a run of successful local and national programs for high profile corporate clients including The Food Network, Procter & Gamble, Hewlett-Packard (HP), ZipLocal and Shaw Cable. |
